RoofTech were employed to oversheet a pitched roof totalling approximately 1,300m2 for a Joinery company in Uckfield. The existing roof comprised a plasterboard overpurlin lining with single skin asbestos-cement sheeting and GRP rooflights.
Existing Roof Covering
The existing redundant roof mounted vents, ducts, flues and pipes were removed and resultant holes covered with opaque GRP sheets to match the existing roof profile. The existing translucent GRP panels were also replaced with new insulated units to match.
The above was followed by the installation of a galvanised steel spacer bar system over the existing asbestos-cement roof, new quilt insulation to meet current building regulations and single skin steel profiled sheeting.

The gutters were swept and a new gutter liner installed complete with capping flashing.
