The boiler house roof to this Energy Recovery Facility in Surrey has suffered severe storm damage. This facility uses household waste from 4 London boroughs which is combusted at a very high temperature to generate electricity for up to 55,000 homes and hot water for up to 19,000 homes. This is an environmentally sustainable alternative to traditional landfill which cuts carbon emissions by up to 128,000 Tonnes per year.
RoofTech have been awarded the contract to replace the existing roof covering with new Euroclad SF500 HPS200 coated steel secret-fix roof sheets, which will include lifting 18m long panels to a height of over 33m.
